Autumnspire is one of the most personal models in Jared’s portfolio. This piece was designed, built and featured in the wedding in which Jared married his wife, Gabrielle. There were fourteen total models built and displayed at the event, including eleven copies of Autumnspire, two copies of smaller, auxillery models displayed at the sweetheart table, and a cake topper.

Autumnspire embodies the symbolism between Jared and Gabrielle, highlighting their two halves: logical and emotional, rigid and flowing, a love of design and a love a nature. The cake topper, depicting a royal manor is the only model in which nature and archiecture meet, symbolizing the unification of these halves into one.

Iranian architecture inspired many of the buildings in the city, while the wedding colors of royal blue and gold were used solely as the primary colors in the model to highlight the detail in the architecture. A fall wedding made the foliage a colorful, contracting addition. Jared wanted to make this piece special, and used his knowledge of the LEGO® part catalog to insert very rare parts into the model, making replicating the build at any scale impossible. The trees, made up of minifigure epaulettes, use a large percentage of the total availability of the part worldwide. Autumnspire was highlighted by Tips and Bricks #2579 for it’s unique design and color scheme, as well as the usage of very rare parts.

This model and the passion that came with it ignited Jared’s interest in using micro cities to tell a story, inspiring Spill Life and many other models that have yet to debut. It now rests as the first entry in Jared’s Micro-city series.
