“The Way” project was created as an experiment with new techniques in wall art. Working from images of The Mandalorian, the silhouette was created in the style of a western gunslinger. Because the model is entirely built with bricks and plates, the piece has a great deal of weight for its size. The wall mounts and internal structure had to be significantly stronger to hang on a wall for long periods of time. Achieving the proper style with the silhouette was also quite challenging, especially communicating movement. This project has inspired several others that are currently in the works, as well as inspiring the “Sunset Passage” project
