Framework is an expression of self, showcasing the internal struggle that lays behind the creation of beautiful structure. It is a visceral depiction of Jared’s creative process, drive, and the ego of creation. This is Jared’s artistic framework: the compulsion to create more and more ambitious work. Depicted as an amorphas creature with inky black tendrils, the ego never stops. As it grows weary, it pushes harder.

Each piece in this collection is named after the structure it depicts, and the word “Unfinished”, highlighting a work in progress frozen in time that will never be completed. The pieces are created entirely in monochrome, using only LEGO® pieces that are made in the color depicted. This forces a further challenge on the creative process, while focusing the viewer on the details that are able to be captured and providing a sharp contrast to the creature at work.

As a final detail, every piece in Framework incorporates at least one very rare LEGO® piece in its chosen color. This adds an additional layer of uniqueness, making many of the pieces almost impossible to replicate, even if one had detailed instructions to create them.

“The beauty of the creation is that the ugly and the beautiful are always together. What is filthy and what is sacred is always together.” - Sadhguru
