Clocktower Unfinished is the second entry in the Framework limited collection. The tower draws inspiration from any clocktowers around the world, including Big Ben, Ghanta Ghar and the Joseph Chamberlain Memorial Clock Tower. The final creation blends architectural influence, echoing Spanish Baroque. Dark Tan was chosen as the unique color for the piece, which presented immediate challenges. Very limited options for brackets, SNOT (Stud Not On Top) bricks and arches resulted in Jared’s use of vehicle mudguards, sword hilts, roller-skates, and other odd parts to capture the final details exterior details.

The creature moves throughout the structure of this piece, adding touches to the entrance and side windows. It’s focus can be seen at the top of the structure, placing the clock face into the final side.

Each entry in the Framework collection includes at least one specific LEGO® part with very limited availability. Clocktower Unfinished continues the trend of using many different types of rare parts. However, the part highlight easily goes to part 79806, used to create the only visible hand on the clock face. This plume piece was only produced for use in two minifigures in the Dark Tan color and has not been produced since 2013. It’s low circulation volume and usefulness in fan-made recreations of castle and pirate scenes with high Minifigure® reliance caused the price of this part to skyrocket in recent years. Only a few are available in new condition.
