Jared’s Micro-City Series is an exploration of humanity through architecture, highlighting the best and worst of us through the things we build and what we destroy to build them. He has found that a city can act as a perfect lens to view a culture through, and therefore a perfect allegory to tell stories and ignite our emotions. LEGO® bricks are the perfect tool for combining art and architecture in this way.

Foundation is the third installment in Jared’s Micro City series, depicting a futuristic city constructed atop a crumbling wasteland of it’s own creation. The roadway for the model sits at a 45 degree angle and is the focal point for the rest of the design, since the main city structure must sit flush against it. The base of the model depicts eroded bedrock, damaged from leaking waste from the city above. The rock work uses a collection of unique LEGO® part molds to showcase it’s craggy, eroded nature, such as: A pumpkin, a small bird, chopsticks, a heart, right and left Minifigure legs, various teeth and horns, and a Bionicle® hand piece located directly under the roadway.
